Moosa Raza was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2010. He has served the governments of Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and the Government of India in various capacities as Secretary (Health), Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat, Secretary of Steel and Governor's Advisor. He is also the chairman of the South Indian Educational Trust (S.I.E.T), which runs six educational institutions.
